Why Rigor Matters

When it comes to carbon data, credibility isn't optional - it's the foundation. Weak or inconsistent methods and poor data put companies at risk of greenwashing, failed audits, and lost trust.

That’s why CarbonOne’s approach is designed to:
Align with global standards like GHG Protocol, ISO 14000 Series, PACT, IPCC and SBTi.
Use high quality emissions factor data governed by our rigorous Data Quality Management System.
Provide transparency and accuracy that withstand regulatory and stakeholder scrutiny.
Deliver audit grade results you can count on.

Our Core Applications

One approach, four applications — all powered by science and rigour.

How our Data Pipeline Works

Flow chart illustrating the six steps of the CarbonOne Data Pipeline: 1)Data Ingestion – Client activity data, Supplier data, Proxy data 2) Data Vetting – Review for completeness, consistency, and accuracy 3) Factor Selection – Matching to our emission factor database 4) Quality Control – Cross-checks, sensitivity testing, final review 5) Calculation Engine – Application specific methodologies applied 6) Verified Results – Delivered through the CarbonOne platform, ready for reporting.

FAQ

Which standards do you follow?

We align with required international protocols depending on the application, including the GHG Protocol for Corporate Carbon Footprints, ISO 14067, GHG Protocol Product Standard and PACT for Product Carbon Footprints.

How often is your data updated?

Our 75,000+ factor library is continuously updated according to our Data Quality Management System. Historical data is maintained and custom emission factors can be added at any time.

Are the results auditable?

Yes. Results and outputs are fully auditable by third party organizations.

What is a Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)?

The Carbon Footprint of a food and beverage product represents the sum of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) emitted and removed throughout its lifecycle. PCF’s are completed by performing a targeted Life Cycle Assessment to measure and calculate the climate impact at each stage of the life cycle and, expressed as total CO2 equivalents (CO2e) per kg of product.

What are Emission Factors?

Carbon Emission Factors represent the amount of CO2e emitted or removed from the atmosphere resulting from a specific activity (i.e use of electricity or fuels, growing ingredients, transportation etc). Emission Factors are produced by various sources and availability is improving but not all are equal.
