Unlock Up to $100K in Funding for Carbon and Innovation Projects

At CarbonOne, we’re committed to helping Canada’s food and agri-tech businesses accelerate climate action, and we know funding can play a major role in making that happen. That’s why we’re highlighting two major funding programs now open—each offering up to $100,000 in non-repayable support to help you advance clean technology, improve your carbon reporting, or tackle technical innovation barriers.

With both programs closing in early August, now is the time to act.

1. SGAP Funding: Up to $100,000 for CleanTech and Carbon Projects

Application deadline: August 6, 2025

If you're a food or agri-tech business based in Southern Ontario, the Sustainable Growth and Adoption Program (SGAP) can provide $40,000 to $100,000 to support:

Clean technology adoption
Operational and emissions assessments
Decarbonization and modernization
Process and efficiency improvements

To qualify, your business must:

Be located in Southern Ontario
Have $200,000+ in annual revenue
Have a project partner (CarbonOne may be a fit depending on your scope)

Funding covers up to 40% of total project costs. Last round, 90% of applications we supported were approved.

2. CFIN Innovation Booster: Up to $100,000 for Food-Sector Innovation

Application deadline: August 12, 2025

Run by the Canadian Food Innovation Network (CFIN), this program supports early-stage innovation projects across Canada.

Eligible businesses can receive up to $100,000 (50% of project costs) to help address:

Technical barriers
Feasibility and validation work
Prototype or demo development

You may be eligible if:

You’re incorporated in Canada and have less than $50M in revenue
Your project is within Technology Readiness Levels 1–7
Your project duration is under 12 months
Your project is not focused on primary agriculture
